Overview 

Designed to give an overview of current recommendations for the management of OA with pharmacological and complimentary medicines as per the RACGP guidelines for the management of hip and knee OA published in 2018.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. List the pharmacological treatments that the RACGP 2018 Guidelines recommend for the treatment of knee and hip OA.
  2. List the evidence available and the RACGP 2018 Guideline recommendations for the use of complementary medicines in the treatment of knee and hip OA.
