- recognise the medicines used in medical termination of pregnancy, and the approved protocol for administration of those medicines;
- identify the common effects, adverse effects and complications that can occur following administration of medical termination of pregnancy, and recognise when patients experiencing such effects should seek additional medical assistance;
- recall the PBS subsidy conditions that apply to medical termination of pregnancy;
- recognise the training available to pharmacists wishing to access and dispense medicines for medical termination of pregnancy.
