There is a deluge of information available about the COVID-19 public health emergency. The Australian College of Pharmacy has prepared this module to support pharmacists consolidate understanding about the spread and control of SARS-CoV-2.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Describe the properties of SARS-CoV-2.
  2. Outline evidence regarding the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 globally and within Australia.
  3. Describe the symptoms of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
  4. Provide practical advice to patients about preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2.

The 2016 Competency Standards addressed by this activity include: 1.5, 3.1, 3.6
