Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Identify common risk factors for mucositis.
  2. Describe the WHO grading system for oral mucositis.
  3. Discuss some of the most common active pharmaceutical ingredients which may be incorporated into an oral mucositis mouth rinse.
