Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Identify signs and symptoms of anaemia.
  2. Identify the different causes of anaemia.
  3. Discuss the prevalence of anaemia in affected populations and the diagnosis of anaemia.
  4. Counsel on pharmacological agents available for the treatment of iron deficiency anaemia.
