Overview 

Designed to give an overview of panic disorder and panic attack including the use of CBT, and psychological and pharmacological treatment.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. describe panic disorder;
  2. describe symptoms of a panic attack;
  3. discuss the use of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) in assisting people with panic disorder;
  4. describe the psychological treatment of panic disorder;
  5. describe the pharmacological treatment of panic disorder.
