Designed to give an overview of common colds and flu including differential characteristics of each, and virus groups which cause common colds and flu.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Describe the characteristic features that differentiate the common cold from flu
  2. List virus groups causing common colds and flu
  3. Describe zoonotic viruses that can move from animals to humans
