Designed to give an overview of nausea and vomiting including identifying possible causes, the use of antiemetic medicines, and treatment options for common causes.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. identify some of the causes of nausea and vomiting;
  2. discuss the use of antiemetic medicines;
  3. discuss the side effects, adverse reactions and precautions of these medicines;
  4. select treatment choices for common causes of nausea and vomiting.
