Overview 

Designed to give an overview of the implications of COVID-19 in people with COPD, as well as reducing the risk of exacerbation and hospitalisation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Describe the risks of COVID-19 and common comorbidities causing serious complications
  2. Describe the implications of COVID-19 in people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  3. Describe how to reduce the risk of exacerbation and hospitalisation of people with COPD during the COVID-19 pandemic.
