Overview 

Designed to give an overview of the appropriate injection technique for insulin including selecting the correct needle, potential complications of incorrect insulin administration, and patient education.

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Describe the appropriate injection technique for insulin.
  2. Describe potential complications of incorrect insulin administration.
  3. Educate patients on the proper use of insulin needles.
