Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Explain how coughs are classified
  2. Describe the different aetiologies of coughs, and other symptoms that may appear with specific aetiologies.
  3. Identify alarming symptoms which may accompany a cough
  4. List the different treatment options available for coughs over the counter
