Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. describe the epidemiology and impact of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in Australia;
  2. describe which STIs are notifiable infections in Australia, and the process of contact tracing;
  3. outline the antimicrobials used in the treatment of common STIs;
  4. describe the signs and symptoms of common STIs
