Designed to give an overview of point-of-care testing in the pharmacy, and how to correctly interpret the results of these tests. 

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. explain how reference ranges are defined;
  2. describe what factors should be considered when interpreting POCT results;
  3. identify medications, and medical conditions that can affect POCT results.
