Designed to give an overview of the different types of mouth ulcers, their causes, treatments, and counselling advice that pharmacists can give to assist patients with mouth ulcers.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Describe the different presentations of mouth ulcers
  2. Describe the differential diagnosis of mouth lesions
  3. Discuss mouth ulcer presentation and treatment options
  4. List counselling advice that pharmacists can give to assist patients with aphthous ulcers
