Designed to give an overview of falls prevention and the role that pharmacists play in reducing risk factors that can lead to falls.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:\
1. discuss the impact of falls on older people;
2. identify medical conditions that contribute to falls and advise effectively;
3. list medications which may increase risk of falls;
4. regularly review medications that may increase fracture risk;
5.recommend interventions to prevent falls.
