Designed to give an overview to help in the management of exacerbated behavioural symptoms in people with dementia

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:
1. recognise the signs and symptoms of behaviours associated with dementia;
2. discuss the goals of medication use for people with dementia;
3. discuss conditions which may exacerbate behavioural problems in people with dementia;
4. list medications which may exacerbate behavioural symptoms in people with dementia;
5. suggest non-drug options to assist people caring for people with dementia
