Overview 

Designed to give an overview of the use of Aspirin in the prevention of vascular events. The article discusses recently published trials indicating that aspirin does not have a role in primary prevention.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:
1. appraise latest evidence on the use of low-dose aspirin for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease;
2. evaluate the risk/benefit of low-dose aspirin in primary prevention of cardiovascular disease;
3. counsel patients on the role of low-dose aspirin in primary prevention of cardiovascular disease.
