Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. explain when therapeutic drug monitoring should be performed;
  2. identify current reference ranges for therapeutic drug monitoring of medications with a narrow therapeutic index;
  3. describe what factors should be considered when interpreting TDM results;
  4. identify lifestyle factors that can affect pathology investigations and results.
