Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. List the different contraceptive options available
  2. Describe mechanism of action, adverse effects and contraindications of pharmacological contraceptives.
  3. Identify emergency contraception (EC) treatments and key counselling points to address with patients receiving EC treatment.
