Designed to give an overview of sports injuries commonly seen in the community pharmacy setting and to provide pharmacists with the appropriate knowledge to be able to assist their customers.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

1. Discuss the role that community pharmacy may perform in management of sports injuries;

2. Identify areas that community pharmacy staff may require advanced practice learning to enable them to provide assistance to consumers in the area of sports health;

3. Identify how community pharmacy can collaborate with allied health practitioners in the management of sports health;

4. Identify opportunities to expand the community pharmacy business model in the area of sports health.
