Overview 

Designed to address the causes, symptoms and treatments of peptic ulcer disease (PUD) as well as the nature of Helicobacter pylori.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

1. define peptic ulcer disease;

2. describe Helicobacter pylori;

3. describe the symptoms of peptic ulcer disease and which medications are used as first-line treatment;

4. counsel patients with peptic ulcer disease about their medications
