Designed to give an overview of chronic lower back pain and how a multimodal approach to improve function, with or without reduced pain, should be the key aim of management

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

1. define chronic pain;

2. apply pain assessment tools in clinical practice;

3. evaluate the evidence for medicines in the management of chronic low back pain;

4. formulate strategies to discuss pain management during medication reviews.
