Designed to given an overview of the 8 B group vitamins, daily requirements, and their various roles and effects of deficiency.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. list the eight B vitamins;
  2. describe the estimated average requirement (AER), recommended daily intake (RDI) and adequate intake levels (AI) for the B vitamins;
  3. discuss the various roles of the B vitamins and effects of deficiency.
