Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. discuss possible changes in alcohol guidelines;
  2. recognise the symptoms of alcohol dependence;
  3. list the impact that alcohol has on other disease states;
  4. provide information about management options for alcohol dependence;
  5. offer advice and support to assist the person.
