Overview 

Designed to give a review of the steps of the dispensing process.

Learning Objective

After completing this activity pharmacists should be able to:

  1. list the steps followed when dispensing a prescription;
  2. explain the ethical and legal requirements around the safe and effective provision of medicines, particularly labelling of products;
  3. describe the features of dispensing software designed to assist pharmacists in identifying potential errors that may have occurred during prescription processing, and how to use the software correctly.
